Our Values

In addition to our primary mission, we endeavor to positively influence our following core values.

Reducing Barriers to Participation

We do all we can to reduce or eliminate barriers to participation. Please reach out to us and share your thoughts if you have recommendations or concerns about barriers to participation.

Facilitating Safe Spaces

We pride ourselves on the community that our members and supporters have created. We relentlessly pursue the goal of providing a space wherein all responsible participants feel safe and welcome.

On this topic, our primary activity is live performances of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. The culture around this film has a long history which has touched on many locations and communities with varying backgrounds and perspectives. Audience Participation includes heckling the actors and the movie, itself. You can read more about that in our Rocky Horror Culture Section.

To support our value of Facilitating Safe Spaces, we put energy into establishing, communicating, and encouraging a Callback Policy which discourages ‘punching down’ at marginalized groups and instead encourages ‘punching up’ at those in power.
