Off-Stage Roles
All roles (both on-stage and off-stage) can and will be trained at any time and for anyone who is interested! Please reach out to us at volunteer@pvshadowcast.org if you’re interested!
The following are the back-stage and off-stage roles that support and contribute to the overall operations of the show:
“Tech”
Lurking in the shadows, our “tech” folks are handling props so that they are in place where and when they are needed – and also cleared out of the way when they’re not. This critical role is part of the magic that goes unnoticed when executed very well!

Lights
It may look like we’re just pointing oversized flashlights, and complaining when people stand in the wrong spot, but it’s truly a performance! You need to learn not just one role – but all of them. We have to master the art of antici…
…pation.
Not only are you thinking about what’s currently going on on-stage, you’re also thinking 5 seconds ahead because you know the next character is coming in or the lights need to cut out on a given beat. It’s an engaging technical dance!
Merchandise Sales
Merchandise sales is a very important and impactful part of how the cast generates funds. We need enthusiastic folks who can engage with our audience members and who understand the importance of keeping accurate records.

Prop & Costume Fabrication
The show would leave too much to the imagination without props and costumes! Woodworking, sewing, or any other trade you might imagine could be put to use in making our props and costumes. If you’re interested, but don’t know the first thing – we can pair you up with someone who does know!
Makeup Artist
The glam of the show would be significantly diminished if not for the judicious application of makeup! If you enjoy this particular art, we want you to get up close and personal with us!
